Full-time Positions

Component Manufacturing Technician
Exciting opportunity in the component laboratory. The Blood Center will train an individual to fractionate blood donations into components for blood transfusions. The position is full-time; afternoon and evening hours, and every third weekend included, as well as some holidays. The position requires accuracy and attention to detail. High school diploma/GED required.

Collections Manager (RN)
This position managers the blood collection staff, its policies and procedures on a daily basis. Responsibilities include staff evaluations, disciplinary issues, education, hiring, writing SOPs, and advocating on donor's behalf with eligibility and follow-up phone calls, and customer service concerns. Requirements include RN supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, organizational and team building skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Blood banking experience preferred, but not required. Competitive salary and excellent benefits, including 4 wks vacation/personal.

Manager of Blood Banking
This position requires a motivated team player who thrives on serological investigations. This position will oversee daily operations of an AABB accredited IRL and routine blood banking associated with blood donor processing. Responsibilities include red cell antibody identification for patient and donor samples, consultation service for member hospitals, training of staff and work review. Qualified candidates must have a BS degree, MT (ASCP) and experience in transfusion services which includes complex serological problem investigation. SBB or eligible preferred. Part-time Positions

Blood Donor Telerecruiter, Lehigh Valley, PA
Full-time opening to recruit volunteer blood donors by telephone and schedule them in adequate numbers to meet patient needs. Greet donors and generate a medical history form to procedures. Mon thru Fri 12-8pm; every other Sat 7am-1pm; and every other Sun 10am-2pm. Pleasant voice, patients and accuracy required. High school diploma with telemarketing or collections experience and medical terminology helpful.

Telerecruiter Assistant, Lehigh Valley, PA
Part-time opening - Mon, Wed and Thurs 3-8pm and every other Sat 9am-12pm. This position will recruit volunteer blood donors by telephone, pre-screen them and set up an appointment agreeable to both parties, greet donors and generate a medical history form to procedures. Pleasant voice, patients and accuracy required. High school diploma with telemarketing or collections experience and medical terminology helpful.

Part-Time RNs
The Blood Center currently has openings for part-time RNs for mobile operations. Candidates shold possess a valid PA RN license and be a candidate for NJ RN licensure. Candidates should also possess the ability to work and lead independantly, teach and mentor staff, implement and uphold policies and procedures in a strict regulatory environment. Flexible scheduling is available, which will include days, evenings and a weekend rotation.

Mobile Unit Assistant
Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking individuals to drive and assist in the set-up, operation and maintenance of mobile units, as well as quality assurance and administrative duties. A valid drivers license is required (CDL a plus), as well as some lifting and flexible availability. This is an excellent opportunity for a retiree, offering approximately 20 hours per week.
