Miller-Keystone Blood Center's
Flight for Life To Mexico!
Friday, Sept. 7, 2007

Miller-Keystone Blood Center's 5th annual "Flight For Life" signature fundraising event is scheduled to take place on Friday evening, September 7, at Millennium Aviation on the grounds of Reading Regional Airport. Over 250 passengers are once again expected to enjoy an evening of great food, fun and entertainment, as this year, we will be flying to Mexico!

Flight Committee
Honorary captain of this year's Flight to Mexico is Mike Mizak of The Reading Eagle Company. Serving on this year's Flight Committee are: Mary Ann Bossard, Elsa Collins, Tracy Hoffmann, Karen Kramer, Linda Krause, Derek Moll, Dave Reppert, Sandra Scheetz, Todd Thorp, Tricia Vaughan, Lisa Weidman, Franco Vella-Gatt and Scott Wheeler, and the Blood Center's Michele Grasso, Andrea Hartman, Naomi Pratt, Kathy Stumhofer and Sandra Thomas

"It is important to remember that while the gift of blood is the one on which Miller-Keystone Blood Center has developed its reputation, it is the financial support we receive that makes our facility continue to function optimally," says Sandra Thomas, Director of Development, explaining that last year alone, Miller-Keystone scheduled more than 91,000 donors, collecting nearly 74,000 units of blood which were processed into over 150,000 life-saving blood products..

"The Blood Center is extremely grateful to the community for their past support of or Flight event, and we look forward to another successful event in 2007!" she concludes.
