New Donation Option Available to Support MKBC

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is pleased to announce our new affiliation with the Car Program LLC. This company is working with our Development Department to expedite vehicle donations made to MKBC.

All vehicles are sold in the wholesale market. After deduction of certain administrative fees, MKBC will receive 70% of the sale price of each vehicle. If the vehicle sells for under $500, the donor will receive a tax receipt and may claim up $500 for tax purposes. If the vehicle sells for over $500 the donor will receive an initial tax receipt and as soon as the vehicle sells, a gross vehicle receipt will be mailed stating the value that may be claimed on your taxes.

Some restrictions do apply but most vehicles, including boats, are accepted. The Car Program staff handle all details to process the vehicles. Upon pickup, all vehicles are transferred to their dealer inventory to limit liability to both the organization (MKBC) and the donor of the vehicle.
